"My mother's stay at Evergreen has changed our family's view of nursing homes.
Evergreen is clean, pleasant, cheerful, and always offers the residents entertainment,
music, games and makes it easy for religion to stay a part of their lives. The aides,
nursing assistants, housekeeping and laundry treat each resident as an individual and
most importantly part of a large family. The care there keeps them healthy and as in
my mother's case, gets her strong enough to return home."
Thank you Evergreen!

"Dear Georgia, Thank you so much for being such a "Day Brightener!" It meant so much to
have the pictures-then yesterday to have your very special Mother's Day card with Harold's
"own handwriting" and such wonderful gifts. Look forward to seeing you...come for a cup!
Much love,
Bernice and Harold
"I'm a Floridian, but Grand Rapids means a lot to me. My dear aunt, Mickie Benton, has lived
in and loved Grand Rapids for 70 years, since she was 18. She now resides at Evergreen Terrace.
I visit as often as I can. I am moved to write you out of awe and respect for the staff at Evergreen
Terrace. I 'lived' the Evergreen experience with my aunt last week... up close, in action, and personal...
every day. Last year, too. It blows me away... to see such genuine warmth, patience and respect from everyone...
nurses, LPNs, techs, PTs, dining staff, activity staff, maintenance crew, chaplain, professionals... no pretense,
just real. Small things, that mean so much...like make-up, nail polish, gardening, one-on-one time, being smiled at
and greeted by name, calm accommodations, hugs and warm affectionate conversation... are commonplace. Not to mention
big obvious things, like gentle, attentive medical care. Plus, it's whistle clean. And smells good... 'round the clock.
I feel enormously grateful to each staff person at Evergreen. Yes, it's a nice facility...but the human beings, the staff,
make it a home. And give each resident the dignity they deserve. So, to the Evergreen-ers, my heartfelt thanks. You do the
real work of life... every day... with such grace and good humor... and kindness. It may seem small and ordinary, but it's huge
to my aunt... and to me... and every one of the residents. Just wanted you to know your fame has spread!" With affection,
Pam Coats
"Thanks so much for the kind compassionate care you gave him while he was there. He liked your food. Thanks, too, for all the
consideration you gave us. I appreciate all you did for us."

"Thank you to all of you at Evergreen Terrace for the Evergreen tree in memory of Larry. I'll get it planted outdoors soon as
spring arrives. Also, thank you for the great care you gave Larry during his short stay at Evergreen Terrace."
